About this app

Wouldn’t it be great to know how much it costs to run your air conditioning? Or the heater? Or the lights the kids are constantly leaving on upstairs?

With Powerpal you can see how your energy use changes when you turn on and off your home appliances, so you can take control of how you want to use energy in your home.

The Powerpal app reveals your power usage in real-time and keeps track of your history, helping you to make better decisions about the way you use energy.

With Powerpal you can set a monthly spend target and see how you’re tracking in real time.
You’ll receive alerts to tell you if you’re on target, and get some tips to get back on track if you’re not.

By combining Powerpal with a time of use tariff you could access cheaper energy during off-peak times.
Simple changes like running your dishwasher after 10pm can add up to big savings on your bill.

For information about how to order your Powerpal in Australia visit https://www.powerpal.net

It is very useful getting immediate feedback on changes so you can see what's using power. It would be useful if you could set an alert when the power consumption goes over a certain rate. Eg if you're using solar, and it becomes cloudy, and suddenly the aircon is using grid power. Then you'd know to switch it off. Can we request that feature please? A kw/h figure you can set to get a notification if it is hit or exceeded?

Great! I had this installed in my old property but I've since moved and this place is smaller. It's quicker to connect. I'd like for it to memorise the strength, usage and pattern of devices and appliances so that we're able to label things for better control. It wouldn't be able to specifically watch an item whilst inuse, though it'll allow you to see if it's on. I'm not happy that my data's being sold for this but it's a little late. With Optus, Latitude etc

As others have said, the info displayed is as expected, but it will not stay connected to the Bluetooth transmitter. It forgets that it is paired so it CONSTANTLY asks to be paired. I have got to the point where I am about to delete the app. The developers need to fix this issue quickly. It is not a new issue. If you look at other reviews it has been happening for YEARS.
